28 MAR 3302

28 March 3302;14:08
Currently docked at LEM DOCK; Coriolis Starport in 16 TAU CORONAE BOREALIS SYSTEM - 0 jumps to destination.
Vessel; Eagle

I have finally docked at LEM more than a little after my planned ETA. First Mate Moran insisted I took some time away from the helm and that we explore outside of the ship. We visited a local farmers market and bought cheese. I had planned to sell this further out into the inky black but both myself and Moran have eaten our way through our entire profit margin over this bank holiday weekend. I shall save what little cheese cheese remains should our supply situation deteriorate.

As for the second test flight; all seems well. I have continued to modify the Eagle with improved parts though I am yet to save enough for the modifications that I intend to put on the ship in the long run. This goal is well within sight; I am currently around 500,000CR shy of buying an Advanced Discovery Scanner. Current payload details of the Eagle can be seen below.

L'Eagle; sans fromage.

Bounty hunting continues to be my most profitable source of income partly as I cannot eat the bounty claims but also because most of the systems I am traveling through at present have been explored.

A new destination of LTT 15574 (84.67LY / 17 Jumps away) has been entered into the ships nav systems. This is to be my final test flight. My aim is to have accrued the final half-million credits or so I need before reaching this destination. Failing that I have been advised by a fellow commander that this is a rich location to bounty hunt so I should be able to make up any additional money I need there.

ADDITIONAL:
The last of the cheese is now gone.

Currently docked at OEFELEIN PLANT; Industrial Outpost in ZETA AQUILAE SYSTEM - 1 jump to beyond destination.
Vessel; Eagle

UPDATE:
After some bruising encounters during todays travel I have reached my destination of LTT 15574. Indeed I have gone one system beyond that due to the universal cartographic data that I currently have in my possession. Unfortunately I am still within 20LY of the original location (GENETRIX SYSTEM) and am as yet unable to sell it.

Fortuitously; The system I have ended up in has also yielded some interesting - and by that I mean profitable - data which will help me recoup some of the 120,000CR I lost to rebuild costs. Note to self: Do NOT agree to jobs that seem too good to be true from the bulletin board!

I am resting here for the night and will continue to map out ZETA, before travelling onwards to sell my maps.

26 MAR 3302

26 March 3302; 15:39
Currently docked at HUYGENS CITY; industrial outpost in INKTASA SYSTEM - 0 jumps to destination.
Vessel; Eagle

I recently acquired my pilots license and I've been making my way across galaxy this last week slowly acquainting myself with the ship systems. A little tinkering with the ships interface and all controls now seem readily available at my fingertips.

After an inconspicuous start I seem to have a better idea of how the ship handles in general. As far as docking goes; I am now no longer crashing into the big rotating D20 dice and causing Critical hits to my ship!

I've now visited 72 systems; INKTASA being the last and my goal destination for this test flight. I've also had chance to familiarise myself with the ships battery during this time. The upgraded weapons payload seems effective enough for now. I’ve claimed several bounties (9 total to date) with pilots ranging from novice through to elite level commanders, though I suspect the latter was largely in part due to other parties involved in the kill. I have also acquired a not inconsiderable sum of 322,000 credits, largely in part to my bounty hunting. As such I have invested in a basic Kill Warrant Scanner (Grade E) and I currently have plans to upgrade this vessel with a Detailed Surface Scanner when the opportunity arises.

A new destination of 16 TAU CORONAE BOREALIS has been locked into the ships navigational panel. This system is 38.09 light years away from this dock - a distance that will take 24 jumps in this ship to make. I plan to use this journey to further hone my piloting skills and begin charting some of the systems en route. Once I've arrived should I have sufficient credits I will look at investing in a hauler. I believe there is money to be made in trading commodities or at least enough to finance my real passion which is to explore the universe.

On a personal note; Space seems lonely.

Currently docked at PERRIN TERMINAL; Orbis starport in 49 SERPENTIS - 11 jumps to destination.
Vessel; Eagle

Some additional 20 bounties (29 total now) have yielded me the finances to buy the aforementioned Detailed Surface Scanner. With this now equipped I plan to spend more time to exploring the universe. It is worth noting that this was fitted at the sacrifice of my cargo hold and that the rebuild cost for my vessel has increased significantly. An Intermediate Range Scanner was available at the starport, however I did not have the finances to purchase this module at present. My aim is to equip the Eagle with an advanced scanner as soon as this becomes financially viable. I will continue to pick up bounties wherever possible as they are currently returning the best profit.

First mate Moran continues to supply me with tea on a regular basis; her efforts have not gone unnoticed and are most welcome. I am yet to find biscuits at the local commodities market.

My reputation as a bounty hunter is growing and I am now recognised as being “mostly harmless”. Perhaps I will find those biscuits at the restaurant at the end of the universe…
